SLOW DOWN You Eat Too Fast!
I finally found a Japanese study in the British Journal of Medicine, which confirms what I have been telling all my clients.
Women who rush through meals are likely to be overweight, regardless of what they eat. I have so many women come in and tell me, “I don’t eat that much and I can’t lose weight”. When we go through everything they eat, nine times out of 10, they don’t eat breakfast, but make up for it and then some, the rest of the day. The worst part is they are inhaling their food. The brain doesn’t get the message that they have eaten plenty, so the feeling of fullness doesn’t occur until 15 minutes after you have eaten too much! My suggestion is to eat consciously, without any interruptions, like, driving, T.V., or a book. Chew each bite at least 20 times, savor the flavors, enjoy every moment feeling thankful.
