This is a big week for 150 or so young women--the second stage of LPGA Qualifying School! Wonder why they call it "school"....if you haven't learned how to compete at the highest levels by the time you get there it's a bit too late!
Four days of pressure-packed competition will result in 70, plus or minus players advancing to the final stage in Daytona Beach, FL in Dec. The best players from all over the world will be there. Most of them have already been competing professionally on their home country's tour or the Symetra Tour, the LPGA's "mini-tour."
So the next time you have a clutch putt, or need a certain score on a hole or for a round, just thank your lucky stars that it's for pride and prizes, not your entire next year's livelihood!!
