Try a Healthy Anti-Inflammatory Smoothie!

Try a Healthy Anti-Inflammatory Smoothie
I promised on the radio show last week I would put a great recipe for a smoothie that would help with the heat and happens to address the sore muscle issue too.
1 cup of coconut water
4 strawberries (suggest organic fruit)
½ cup of pineapple
½ cup of mangos
¼ cup of dried coconut flakes
3 tablespoons of flora 3-6-9 blend (I get it at the health food store)(omega-3 fatty acids)
1 tablespoon of protein powder (brown rice, hemp or your favorite)
1 ½ teaspoons miso
1 1 inch piece turmeric root chopped or teaspoon of ground
1 1 inch piece ginger root peeled and minced, or ¼ teaspoon ground ginger
Add water for your choice of consistency
Place all the ingredients in a blender on high for 1 to 2 minutes until smooth.
I use organic frozen fruit and like the fresh turmeric and ginger, it can be found in the produce section of a natural food store. A high powered blender is needed to process the roots. The anti-inflammatory ingredient of pineapple (bromelaine), ginger, turmeric and flora oil makes this shake a great post work-out or golf game drink, to soothe the aching muscles. The miso replaces the salt and electrolytes from major sweating. We at LL4G want our fellow women golfers to enjoy golfing for many years and even in the heat of the summer. Cheers, Tracy
